The tradition of Thanksgiving is based on a joyous outpouring of gratitude.  It is a way to show appreciation for all that has been harvesting and prayers for hope of the bounties to be received.

So why be grateful?

  • Gratitude allows us to make sense of the past, celebrate the present, and create visions for tomorrow.
  • Gratitude blocks toxic, negative emotions, helps us to become more stress resistant and avoid depression.
  • Grateful people are able to turn problems into gifts, failures into successes and mistakes into important events.
  • Grateful people have a higher sense of self-worth by acknowledging everything that they receive and have.
